Jesse is a dedicated doctoral practicum student in clinical psychology, currently pursuing his Ph.D. at Walden University with a concentration in Clinical Health Psychology. A Phoenix, Arizona native, Jesse earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Arizona State University, initially intending to pursue forensic psychology. However, through his academic and clinical experiences, he discovered a passion for health psychology and its impact on overall well-being.
His clinical experience includes educating Spanish-speaking clients about their diagnoses, prognoses, and treatment options, as well as providing outpatient mental health and substance use counseling to diverse populations, including adults and children.
Jesse’s professional interests include the biopsychosocial aspects of health, stress, and resilience, particularly within underserved communities. Bilingual in Spanish and English, he is passionate about bridging gaps in mental healthcare and integrating research-driven interventions into clinical practice.
He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Arizona Psychological Association, and Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology.
