Lisa Namm
Licensed Professional Counselor
Lisa Namm, MS, LPC, NCC, Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor and USMC Veteran appreciates partnering with Adults, Older Adults and military service members to seek resolution for issues and find inner peace. She earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University with a Specialization in Trauma and Crisis in 2015 and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Minor in Social and Criminal Justice in 2010. Lisa has provided various mental health services since 2014 in a variety of settings to include individual counseling, inpatient/outpatient hospital treatment as well as a multitude of supportive services.
She utilizes a combination of solution focused, acceptance commitment, existential and humanistic, person-centered, dialectical and cognitive behavioral therapies to help individuals experiencing depression or anxious mood, low self-esteem, traumatic experiences, and interpersonal issues. With a belief that individuals are doing the best they can with their circumstances, and sometimes need additional support. Lisa appreciates time spent creating supportive relationships and seeing individuals begin to live a life more in line with their values. She emphasizes providing empathetic, compassionate, and empirically supported interventions.
She is able to provide services through scheduled telehealth or in-person office appointments and has found offering therapy through a secure virtual platform has many benefits for clients. It allows for a nearly identical experience to sitting in an office, but offers the flexibility and freedom of scheduling appointments to conduct therapy sessions in a familiar environment. Remembering that therapy is unique to each individual and approaches should always be tailored to each person.
